Woman was identified by GNR during an inspection operation at nightlife establishments

A 41-year-old woman was detained last Friday in Beliche, in the municipality of Castro Marim, Algarve, for being in an irregular situation in Portugal, the National Republican Guard (GNR) reported this Tuesday.
According to a statement from the GNR's Coastal and Border Control Unit, the detention took place during an inspection operation carried out by the Faro Territorial Immigration Inspection Unit in nightlife establishments.
The woman was found in one of the establishments without identification documents, and the officers determined that she had entered and remained in the country illegally, according to the statement.
After being presented to the court in Vila Real de Santo António, it was decided that the woman would be taken to the Temporary Installation Center, where she will await the conclusion of the expulsion process from the national territory.
